Comparative role of erythropoietin and S-100 protein in cerebral hemorrhage in premature infants with perinatal asphyxia
Azerbaijan Journal of Perinatology and Pediatrics

Abstract

Blood samples were taken from 46 children on days 1-3 and 5-7 to study the comparative role of erythropoietin and S100 protein in cerebral hemorrhage in premature infants with perinatal asphyxia. Blood levels were studied in 11 children with anemia and 35 children without hemorrhage in 2 groups. İn the first major group, S100 was higher in children with hemorrhage on both the first day and in the dynamics, and erythropoietin, although high on the first day, was not statistically significant, but the increase in dynamics was greater and was statistically significant.
