Assessment of the prognosis of antimicrobial peptides and cytokines in the pathogenesis anddiagnosis of sepsis

Abstract

Antimicrobial peptides (AMP) is to study the role of Alpha-Defensins, cytokines IL-6 and IL-8 in the pathogenesis and diagnosis of sepsis. Examinations were carried out in the immunological laboratory of the Scientific-Research Pediatric Institute by IFA method in Elisys UNO-Human IFA fully automatic analyzer. Newborns with sepsis were divided into 3 groups: group I included 17 newborns born prematurely with sepsis, group II included 33 patients born prematurely, group III included 30 patients in the conditionally healthy group. Currently, cytokines AMP-Defensinsplay a key role in the early diagnosis of sepsis in premature and premature infants. Determination of AMP-Defensins, cytokines allows to predict the course of sepsis, the severity of the infectious process in children born prematurely and on time of different gestational age.
