The development of fetal hydrops due to anemia
Azerbaijan Journal of Perinatology and Pediatrics

Abstract

The deficiency of the enzyme glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (not peculiar clinical signs) was discovered in admitted patient with acute anemia. Despite the absence of group and rhesus incompatibility, an intrauterine hydrops developed and the erythrocyte mass was transfused into patient three times. The reason for this was hemoglobinosis (Hb Barts) that the child was discharged from the hospital under the control of a hematologist and genetics. Confirming the diagnosis in the future is very important.
