Modern concepts of the diagnosis and treatment of necrotic enterocolitis in newborn

Abstract

Necrotic enterocolitis (NEK) is one of the actual problems that affect the morbidity and mortality rates in neonatology. Since 2013, the Scientific Research Institute of Pediatrics has initiated a planned scientific research on "Early diagnosis, clinic and principles of treatment of necrotizing enterocolitis in newborns". Employees of the Institute participated in the Grant project held by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The article gives detailed information on NEK's clinical diagnosis, early diagnosis, treatment and results of scientific research in this field at the Scientific-Research Pediatrics Institute.
