11 mart 2020-ci ildə Ümumdünya Səhiyyə Təşkilatı (ÜST) yeni koronavirus adlanan infek-siyanın sürətli və qlobal yayılması ilə əlaqədar COVİD-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) pande-miyasının başlandığını elan etmişdir. Koronavirus infeksiyası (COVİD-19) haqqında dərc olu-nan məlumatlar əsasən ÜST, Çin Xalq Respublikası və Amerika Birləşmiş Ştatlarının xəstə-liklərə nəzarət mərkəzləri, həmçinin xəstəliklərə nəzarət üzrə Avropa Mərkəzinin infeksiya-nın müalicə və profilaktikasına dair materiallar bazasına əsaslanır. Bu baxımdan təqdim etdi-yimiz məqalədə elmi nəşrlər, internet resursları və rəsmi statistik məlumatlara əsaslanaraq uşaq əhalisi arasında COVİD-19 infeksiyasının klinik və epidemioloji xüsusiyyətləri, diaqnos-tikası, müalicəsi və profilaktikası, xəstəlik zamanı tibb heyətinin hərəkət alqoritminə dair töv-siyələr və əsas yanaşmalar öz əksini tapmışdır.
