Tədqiqatın məqsədi nekrotik enterokolitin (NEK) diaqnostikası və gedişinin proqnozlaşdırılmasında serebral və splanxnik oksigenasiyanın NİRS vasitəsilə tədqiq olunan göstəricilərinin təyin olunmasından ibarətdir. Tədqiqatın material və metodları: müayinəyə 88 vaxtından əvvəl doğulan (VƏD) uşaq cəlb olunmuşdur. NEK-ə şübhə olan 88 uşaqdan 29-da (32,5%) NEK təsdiq edilmiş, 59-da (67,1%) isə inkar edilmişdir. Tədiqat göstərimişdir ki, NEK diaqnozu təsdiq edilən VƏD-da diaqnoz inkar oluanlarla müqayisədə cFTOE göstəriciləri statistik dürüst fərqlənmiş və yüksək sensitivlik göstərmişdir (uyğun olaraq p=0,035; sensitivity 72%).
