Congenital malformations can cause miscarriages and stillbirths. They can be life-threatening, cause disability. A key role in the immune interactions between mother and hemialleogennym embryo genes play a major histocompatibility complex (HLA).
29 married couples with a history of children with congenital malformations were examined. Parents were typed at the locus HLA-DR and HLA-DQ. Comparison of matrimonial haplotypes showed that in 20.7% of cases, the similarity of the 1 allele was noted and the clubfoot, hypospadias, cleft palate were determined. Similarity in the 2 alleles was found in 13.8% - hypospadias, congenital heart disease, multiple malformations. The similarity in the 3 alleles was also noted in 13.8% of pairs. In these cases, anencephaly, multiple malformations, hydrocephalus were detected.
